As someone who has only worn make-up once for my own wedding a few years ago, my knowledge is definitely lacking, and, much to my friends amusement, I can’t tell you the difference between highlighter, foundation and concealer! Luckily, South Wales is full of some wonderful beauty experts who know all the tips and tricks to ensure you look your best on your big day.
If you’re a bit clueless, like me, don’t panic. When looking for a make-up artist, make sure you read their reviews and that you like the look of their work. Most importantly, be honest with them. Whether you wear full glam on a regular basis, only add a touch of foundation, or, like myself, have no clue where to start, they are there to help you. A good supplier will reassure you and give suggestions to help you look like the best version of yourself.
I highly recommend having a trial with your make-up artist before the wedding. Your trial will give you time to talk to your supplier, test out looks and ensure you’re happy with how you look before the wedding day.

The Orangery
The Orangery, a grand 18th-century Grade I listed building, creates a jaw-dropping setting to say, ‘I do.’ Nestled within the grounds of Margam Country Park, The Orangery offers a wealth of locations for memorable photographs, including remnants of the monastic ruins and the iconic Margam Castle.

Once you’ve booked your special day at The Orangery, you can explore the grounds of Margam Country Park and plan your dream photo backdrops. Discover the monastic ruins, a pergola walkway in bloom, manicured gardens, tranquil lakes, and the rolling lawns of the deer park; you may even spot the deer in the distance. The venue also offers an ‘Alpaca Wedding Experience’, new for 2024.

| Dylan Coastal Resort has announced a new brand ambassador |

Welsh professional dancer and TV personality Amy Dowden has been appointed as the brand ambassador for Dylan Coastal Resort in Carmarthenshire. Amy's partnership comes at an exciting time for Dylan Coastal Resort as the site undergoes a period of expansion, including the addition of a new health and wellness facility. The Studio will serve as an extension to the existing spa facilities at Milk Wood House and offer treatments including cranial therapy. The team has also introduced a new head chef who will be heading up the restaurant team and has plans to add 120 new lodges slated for completion in 2025.
