The Great House Hotel & Restaurant is a restored, Grade II listed property that offers a gorgeous mix of original features and modern facilities. The 15th-century house is believed to be a gift from Queen Elizabeth I to the Earl of Leicester, who used it as a hunting lodge. Located in the pretty village of Laleston, Bridgend, it’s just 10 minutes away from the seaside town of Porthcawl and is full of warm character, with flagstone floors, oak beams, inglenook fireplaces and stone archways.

Celebrate in style
Tie the knot and host your reception in either the Leicesters Room, Prince of Wales Suite or Great Hall, with maximum capacities of 20, 30 and 60 respectively.

Be sure to check out the health suite – complete with a Jacuzzi, a sauna and spa offering dermatological treatments; it’s perfect for pre-wedding pampering.

We love...
The Great House Hotel & Restaurant has an award-winning restaurant on-site which uses locally-sourced seasonal ingredients.
